Satish is a high scale mechanic. He works in a power house. His only job is to supervise the works of other mechanics.
One night it was raining torrential along with a heavy downpour. That night a night duty had been allotted to Satish but everyone was absent in duty because of the heavy rain. Satish also had remained confined in that power house just to avoid that rain. Till now everything was going on very smoothly but suddenly a telephone call had come that a widespread power cut had darkened the whole area due to a transformer explosion on the over head joint pole.
Satish had tried to contact with all mechanics and labours but they were not available as their mobiles were kept switched off. In such situation Satish was sitting just at his wit’s end. But frequent phone calls had started coming because one match factory and another hosiery factory had been affected by that load shedding. Hence forth Satish had started feeling restless because he hadn’t anybody to assist the senior mechanic . After having been insisted by all irritated locals from afflicted areas Satish had decided to go ahead alone to face all troubles.
Then he took his climbing ladder on his shoulder and in that disastrous relentless rain he had braved to reach the venue just to see that a major explosion had burnt the transformer severely.
Satish had climbed the ladder and had started to repair it. But it was very surprising that as Satish was climbing up, the transformer was getting beyond his reach. But Satish was adamant to finish his work perfectly. Satish was climbing up slowly and gradually but still he wont be able to touch the transformer.
Now he curiously wanted to look down and found the lower portion of the ladder had been missing. Just right then one mobile call came to him. Satish had got ready to receive it but he had started feeling trembled fiercely, Satish had cried for help but nobody was there to help him for that pole was situated on a lonely ground.
Next morning Satish was found dead under that electric pole.
