Royal Family of Cards

Rajdev does have a fascination on antics. Sometimes he purchases any lucrative antic either statue or pottery or any fullscape painting etc etc just for interior decoration at his home. It can be simply said that it’s his ardent hobby.

One day it was a Sunday. Just after having left the bed with the break of dawn Rajdev had started planning to visit any antique shop to look for any fine antique object.

So Rajdev had started getting ready very fast. With the sunlight getting brighter, after having a little breakfast just at 9 am. Rajdev had left for his destination. After having searched thoroughly Rajdev had sneaked into an antique shop. There with his first glance the young man got attracted to a standing clock of giant size in which the frame was decorated very artistically with some engraved brass works. At once Rajdev had decided to take it home and indeed he did it.

At home the young man had placed the clock in his drawing room. Rajdev was so amazed to the antique clock that he frequently had been coming to that living room just to enjoy it’s antique beauty.

Slowly the night had reached just for bed rest. Before going to bed Rajdev couldn’t spare himself from visiting his living room only to watch that clock. The clock was quite ok just at ease then. Rajdev was feeling very happy to see it.

Next day everything had gone on very smooth throughout the day but at night a strange incident had occurred there. Rajdev had watched that two hands and numberings of the clock are missing and a beautiful female face of a queen of red hearts in cards had replaced them. After watching it Rajdev had got surprised so much that he at once had left the room.

Next day Rajdev had never entered that room all the day but with the arrival of night he couldn’t refrain from visiting there. Rajdev had entered there only to see that a red diamond king in cards was smiling very friendly at Rajdev. Rajdev felt so panicked at that scene that at once he had left the room.

Next day too Rajdev not even by mistake had looked at that room. But at night Rajdev again had visited that living room just to see a red spade gulam of cards was asking Rajdev not to leave the room without paying a hearing to the story narrated by that gulam. Rajdev had paid attention on him.

Gulam had started narrating the story….The clock had belonged to an Egyptian royal family. The queen was so beautiful that everyone had fallen in her love. The king although was aware of it yet had pretended of a connivance. That family had a very reliable servant who had slowly started falling love with the pretty looking queen. When the king had come to know about it he had killed that servant first, then murdered the queen, in the long run he had himself committed suicide. I was that gulam and you were that king and I don’t need to introduce the queen.

Next morning family members of Rajdev found the living room quite empty. They found both the clock and Rajdev nowhere.
