Drowning case

Sadabrata works as an ivestigating inspector in port police. Since a long interval no serious case has been dealt in his dipartment. So he was feeling little tensedfree. It was half past twelve in midnight when Sadabrata was watching a late night movie just to relax in his rest day because tomorrow is sunday on which he’ll be taking leave as rest day. Just at that moment his subordinate twitted a message to him that a third year engineering student got drowned in the river Ganges at fifteen minutes to 4pm. when he was enjoying a boat journey and got toppled from boat in the river. Sadabrata immediately sweared that he would be reaching on the spot without delay.

When Sadabrata reached there he could come to know that the name of the victim is Snehajit and he was a third year engineering student. As yesterday was Saturday college was scheduled to be closed earlier. A weekly test was also scheduled to be held on that day for two periods. Snehajit and his five classmates had decided that they would be going on a boat journey after exam and college hours got over.

They indeed did it as per pre planning. When they boarded on the boat Snehajit was getting ready to take a snap of his girl friend Moumita on camera and at once got slipped into the river. Without making any delay his two male friends plunged into water to save Snehajit but failed. Local rescuers also have been trying their best to save the poor student just in vain. They have not even found any body in river water.

Although Sadabrata was on holiday but in such a critical situation normally leaves of everybody ought to be cancelled as per rule. Sadabrata arranged for five divers to search for the body of Snehajit either floating or stuck on the riverbed.

It was five minutes to three am. Snehajit got tired and started loitering along the river bank. After loitering for some time Sadabrata was seated on the bank of the Ganges. As a cool breeze was blowing there environment got very pleasant. Just then Sadabrata could find a young man sitting on the bank of the Ganges little far. Sadabrata at once got up and came towards that young man to interrogate him about his identity and the reason behind sitting there. The young man replied that he is waiting for the body of Snehajit to be found. Sadabrata asked the young man,”Did you know Snehajit,” The young man answered,”Of course….Snehajit was killed to death by another male friend who was intricated in a triangular love with Moumita pushed Snehajit to water.” Immediately a mobile call informed Sadabrata that the body of the victim got found. Sadabrata immediately headed for the venue just to see that Snehajit was no other man but the young man sitting on the bank of the Ganges.
