Santanu works in a press. Normally his duty gets over at 6pm. But today it had started raining since 2pm. That’s why press work got hampered due to poor light and excess damp. Naturally out of such adversity Santanu got delaid to leave office. On reaching to bus stop he heard the buses of his destination were scurrying on different route because a ghastly accident occurred on a bridge of that route around 11am. Santanu therefore decided to cross the bridge on foot then he would fetch his own suggested bus.
The gentleman was walking alone on the bridge. Nobody was around him. Suddenly he could find a beautiful woman wearing a silk white saree with red skirting, with long open black hair on her back and red smear of thick Vermillion and it’s red bindi on her forehead was passing the road in front of him. Santanu got highly surprised at this sight. Constantly he kept thinking from where and how did the lady come?
Suddenly the woman looked back and smiled at Santanu. Santanu immediately threw a courtesy smile to that lady.
It was still drizzling. The lady again looked back and smiled at Santanu. Then the young man asked her,” Why are you getting drenched without umbrella? Go back home.” The house wife answered,”l don’t know where I’ll go back.” Santanu asked, “What do you mean? I can’t understand.” The lady replied,” They have driven me out of home.”Santanu asked again,”Whom are you talking me about? Are they your in laws? ” The woman answered,” Not only my in laws but also all my relatives including parents and brothers and sisters.” Santanu asked,” Why?” The beautiful woman replied,”This morning I had been run over by a taxi right on this spot of this bridge.”
Just at that moment a taxi rushed to the lady and whisked her away.” Santanu got panicked and shouted ,”Oh my God, the taxi has run over mam!” At Santanu’s screening the taxi driver got alert and came to a halt. He asked Santanu,”What happened?” Santanu reacted,” You have run over a lady.” The driver answered,” My vehicle hasn’t run over any body. You just see there is no one under the wheels.” Indeed Santanu noted that no one was there.
