Abhishek’s ailing mom

Abhishek has got a job in defence since five years but there is very rare chance to get a leave at least for three days. So when Abhishek was leaving home he requested his widow mother to follow him but mom didn’t agree. Finding no way other Abhishek moved for the place of his posting alone.

After it he came to mother just for one day. Abhishek therefore used to send to mom a portion of his salary every month which mother accepted but suddenly the money started returning back to Abhishek. First month Abhishek didn’t give any importance on the matter but when consecutive five months contineous money kept on coming back to the youngman he started feeling restless and thinking negative about mother. At last he informed his boss of the issue in details and applied for leave for three days and it was granted.

At once Abhishek left for home. When he reached home he started calling ,”Ma….ma…” but got no reply. Then Abhishek helplessly pushed the main door to open because it was just loosely kept shut. Abhishek then entered and still kept on calling,”Ma…Ma….”but didn’t find anybody in first two rooms. He heared some one to writhe in pain. That sound was coming from the third room. So Abhishek rushed towards that room and found mom to look at him and to tell,”Khoka eli? Have you come, my son?” Abhishek answered,”Yes mom. How are you?” Mother replied,”I have been sick for a long time. Can’t walk, can’t stand erect suffer from fever frequently….” Abhishek sat by his mother. Mom asked him to get fresh by washing himself with water which is kept in the bucket near the well outside. Abhishek did it and did have a lunch with rice, mango pulses, fried potato, posto pakora and mixed sabji.

Abhishek asked mom,”How could you cook all this menu of my choice while you are so sick?” Mom replied,”just on crawling.” Abhishek again asked,”How could you know that I’m coming home?” Mother replied with a smile,”I can anticipate every incident from before.” Then Abhishek requested mom to take lunch. Mother informed that she had already taken it before.

In evening Abhishek told mom,”I’ll take you to my place for a better treatment.” At first mom was reluctant but at last she agreed. Next day Abhishek arranged for a cab on hire and took his mother to his apartment on road.

After having reached there Abhishek’s mother got so tired that she coudn’t speak all the day. At dead of night when Abhishek was in deep sleep he could feel some one was pushing him. When he opened eyes he found his mother and heared her to tell,” chali re Khoka (Good bye Khoka).” Abhishek asked with wonder,”Where are you going?” Mother answered, “I’m leaving for my heavenly abode.” Abhishek again asked,”What do you mean?” Mom replied that she had already died before two months. Only to receive her son she came to village home yesterday.
