Roadside ditch accident

Manas today is heading towards his native village Radhakantapur. As he works in different village Paritoshnagar he’s to visit his own village at every fifteen days. Whatever it’s, Manas has caught a public bus to cover this distance. However, in the midway there is a well wide roadside ditch over which there is a big bridge. That bridge is so long that every vehicle has to buy a toll ticket before ascending on the bridge.

That’s why a long queue of vehicle blocked the way in front of the ticket counter.

The driver of Manas’s Radhakantapur bound bus was unnecessarily hurried up to overtake all the front side vehicles to be the first one itself only to reach straight in front of ticket counter.

There was ticket counter on one side of the long queue and on other side there was the wide ditch. Manas’s bus has to climb a high heap of soft soil while it was overtaking other transports but couldn’t control it’s steering and had slipped down direct into the ditch. The bus plunged slantingly in ditch’s water. So the front portion of the bus got dipped into the water while the tail of the bus was outside water.

Fortunately Manas was on the hind portion of the ill fated bus and immediately he had come out of it through the emergency door of the bus. But Manas was at his wit’s end to ponder about how to reach his destination on right time. While coming out of the bus he got some physical injuries. So some first aid treatment was provided on him and he was asked to over stay there to wait for rescue team who will help passengers to leave for their destination.

When Manas was waiting he was sitting on a stone slab. Suddenly he found a good looking house wife to come and sit by Manas. Manas asked her,” Where were you going?” The woman answered ,”Madhubantala….” Manas again asked ,”What was the scheduled arrival time there?” The lady replied,”After more half an hour…” Manas commented,”But now it’s impossible to reach there in time.”The woman said with a smiling face,”No…” Manas again asked,”Were you travelling alone?” Manas asked her.”No, my husband and my seven months old daughter are with me.” the young lady had replied. Manas exclaimed,” My god, are they ok?” The lady replied,”Yes, they’re fine. My husband somehow or other had managed to come out safely through the emergency door because he along with baby on his lap was out of deep water.” Manas exclaimed,”Thank GOD. Then you don’t have any problem to depart from here anytime.” The woman sadly replied, “No, my husband is waiting for my body which is yet to be brought out of the deep water of the ditch.” Manas got surprised at this comment of the lady and asked,”What do you mean?” The woman answered,”I couldn’t survive in this accident and had died after having drowned in the ditch.”

Evening star

With the end of the dusk

In shining glory you bask.

First debut of evening star,

I miss you as you are far.

Silver thread’s embroidery

On the dark blue chiffon saree

Attracts deeply me so much

That I want to get your touch.

Scintillating shiny your rays

Make me just an unknown grace.

I must rush and fly to you

In case I had a winged view.

Raise a hope of glittered light

In spite of at such dark night.
